Facing fears and moving through Comfort Zones

♥ Facing fears and moving through Comfort Zones

‘Outside the comfort zone is where the magic happens’

Understanding the magnitude of this quote will completely change your life. It has changed mine in more ways than I ever would have contemplated.  Every time I have been almost paralysed with fear,  yet faced it, life has opened up to me in ways I could never have imagined. Life becomes exciting, wonderful and full of incredible possibilities when we take that chance of stepping out of our comfort zones. Why is it, we seem to fear beginnings, endings, change, staying stuck, success, failure, living and dying?

♥ To face fears we need to develop our confidence and self esteem

The times in my life where I have had to face making major life changes and big decisions,  I questioned if everyone feels fear when approaching something totally new in life, yet there are people out there doing it despite the fear, surely fear is not the issue? Its our own confidence and self belief and esteem that holds the key. Its our own personal power in how we react to situations, the power to do what is essential for self development and the power to create real joy and happiness.

When we start to unlearn the thinking that keeps our thoughts locked in this fear, you will begin to see the world as an amazing place full of opportunities and begin to realise YOU have everything within you as a beautiful amazing woman.

Im guessing deep down, you know that you have so much potential inside of you waiting to brighten the world with and this is your time to make it happen. You deserve to truly love living your life.

Start to trust your ability to deal with everything that comes your way. Acknowledge all the times already in your journey in life where you have had inner strength and overcome challenges and difficulties. Its all those times, where you have proven relentlessly to yourself that YOU can face fears and you have stretched out of your comfort zones. Write these down in a journal and be proud of what you achieved so far. Turn these into positive affirmations you can say to yourself every time you start doubting your ability to make changes in your life.

A creative journaling tool I have used is drawing or painting a ‘Bonfire of Insecurities’. Write around the bonfire all the reasons why you are choosing to live in fear over an issue in your life. Take time to mentally light the bonfire and let those feelings of fear and insecurity figuratively burn up. Its amazing how much this can help as you begin to realise they are only thoughts, they are not who we really are and thoughts can always be changed and developed.

The truth is you will always face fears. If you wish to grow as a person and develop into the most confident version of yourself, the only way to overcome anything is to face it. As the well know author Susan Jeffers says ‘Feel the fear and do it anyway’

If you live life refusing to face up to issues that need addressing because of overwhelming fear, this is far more frightening for your present and future life than facing fear head on and dealing with it.

♥ Truths about facing fears

There are some truths about fear that once you begin to understand, fear no longer has a hold over you.

1. Fear will never go away as long as you continue to grow and develop

2. The only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is to go out and there and do it

3. Everyone experiences fear, it is a natural process of change in anyway

4. Pushing through fear is less frightening than living with the underlying fear that comes from a feeling of helplessness.

Learn to see fear as a friend that can join YOU on your exciting adventure and journey through life. A friend that gently nudges you to take that risk, to try something new because they know how incredible you will feel after. They know your confidence will soar with each step you take to conquering your fears.
