This morning I received a message from a friend telling me of Wayne Dyer passing away. It left me reeling in shock and feeling devastated as his words have impacted on my life so much and I have always felt like he gave me the fatherly advice and wisdom I wish I could receive from my own Dad.
No other inspirational speaker and author has impacted me quite the same as the humble, loving, peaceful Wayne Dyer. He has helped me transform my thinking in so many ways, has helped me realise what is important in life and helped me control emotions that at one time got in my way and sent me out of control sometimes. His conviction about us having all the power within to change our lives helped me believe it, even when I was ready to give up. Quotes like ‘The state of your life is nothing more than the state of your mind’ and ‘Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change’ showed me I had to take complete responsibility and control of my own life instead of blaming circumstances or others.
I will be eternally grateful for everything he taught me through his life changing books and video links on Youtube.
He taught me to trust the journey, to believe that there is a higher source guiding, loving and supporting us. He taught me to let go of what others think about me, to stay in control of my emotions and to see the best in life and in everyone that is in my life. ‘You cannot always control what goes on outside, but you can always control what goes on inside’
He showed me how gratitude can magically change your life and that inner resilience and strength is possible with self belief and self love. – ‘You cannot be lonely if you like the person you are alone with’.
Maybe the most important thing he taught me was that rather than living in ‘ego’ where we strive, push harder and feel exhausted chasing after an illusion of happiness and feel hurt by other peoples actions, I could learn to live ‘in spirit’ which means an inspired life where I sense a deeper connection to my soul, heart and intuition which in turn leads to a deep level of happiness that nothing or no one can take away.
Today upon hearing such sad news, it has made me analyse, reflect and commit to living my life with as much passion and adventure as I can and to helping women see how they have the power within to heal, revive and shine as they truly are meant too. He always said that our purpose in life was just ‘to be’. Be the change you want to see in the world. I want women to believe in themselves, to see their inner beauty, to recognise their own strength, to develop a self love and confidence so that they can follow their dreams, create a life they love and feel empowered to live life on their own terms………to realise that they don’t need a man to complete them, to be with a man for all the right reasons rather than out of a need for love which is what we need to give ourselves……to just connect with themselves again, their soul and everything you could ever want is within. To fall in love with themselves, be their own best friends and then watch the magic happen. Everything you could ever want in life will draw itself to you when you have self belief and self love.
Wayne Dyers legacy will last forever, he touched the heart of millions of readers and helped so many people who have gone through heartache and pain to see the gift and lesson in everything. He certainly fulfilled his purpose whilst he was with us here and will always remain an inspiration to me.

How true Sarah, his legacy will live on in people like you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you for your kind words Ann. If I can live with even a small amount of love, passion, care and kindness he showed to everyone, I will be a very happy lady.
